BEGINNER – Photographic walking tour in Lisboa

We will start to learn the basics of manual camera use. We will walk in town to the major points of the city. For the full day workshop, at sunset time we’ll reach the overall view of Lisboa overlooking the old town buildings and the sea side. When the blue hour comes, we will go down to the cathedral to experiment an evening picture. Or choose the same spot if the people prefer.

PS: if we are more than 5 participants, we will be 2 photographers to accompany you

This workshop is made for the ones who want to learn further the theoretical of photography and want to master the settings of one’s camera.

During our practise time, we will apply manual settings but also Priority Aperture and Priority Speed in order to improve our choice of best setting for different situations.

We will work on composing an image for colour and for black & white.

During this workshop, we will learn about the major tools that are used to process your images.

We will learn from a RAW file how to correct the white balance, light and contrast, and sharpen your picture.

We will explore some technics to apply layers, double exposure, text for watermark and action to batch treat your photos.

Timelapse / Evening shots – In 3 sessions

1 to 8 participants

  • First session: we’ll go to look for a dark sky near Sintra, at daylight and learn about the best settings to get a clear sharp picture at blue hour until it gets the pitch dark.
  • Second session: we’ll get back to the same place and we will learn the best settings to obtain multiples shoots to make timelapse. We’ll use a tripod and also a dolly to create 3d perspective.
  • Third session (class): we’ll learn how to process single image, multiple images for star trails and for timelapse movies.
